When my daughter was first diagnosed with diabetes five years ago, I found myself overwhelmed and frustrated trying to figure out how to nourish my daughter with the right foods.
Back then, I always wished for someone who’d tell me:
- which nutritional approach would work for my family
- how to plan healthy meals and snacks, not only for daily nutrition but also for travel while maintaining my sanity
- how to reorganize and stock my pantry to make easy, fast, healthy meals and snacking decisions.
I also longed for someone to support me without judgment as I took on this new challenge. I needed someone to reassure me that it’s ok to cry and be frustrated.
I never found this person, so I became HER!
Now I want to share what I learned with you. I hope to use my education as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and my experience as a mom to a super sweet daughter with type one diabetes (pun intended).
